Indrajith Fernando is the Director of Strategic Insurance Brokers, one of the leading insurance brokers in Sri Lanka. With over 16 years of experience in insurance and reinsurance, he has a proven track record in pioneering strategic risk coverages such as the National Natural Disaster Insurance Scheme (NNDIS) for all uninsured people in Sri Lanka, which is the first of its kind in the world.

 

Mr. Fernando has actively participated in all procurements of the Sri Lankan-based National Insurance Trust Fund (NITF) and is the sole broker appointed for NITF retro placement for the years 2017 and 2018. In addition, he is the sole broker in Sri Lanka to garner Strike, Riot, Civil Commotion and Terrorist Cover (SRCC & TC) for the years 2016 and 2017 and NNDIS placements for the years 2015, 2016 and 2017.

 

Mr. Fernando has also participated in several Personal Accident (PA) treaties to Sri Lankan insurance companies and has conducted various facultative arrangements for General Insurance for many local insurance companies.
