As Principal Officer of Strategic Insurance Brokers, Doreen De Silva is responsible for implementing all directions of the Board of Directors of the company. She has over 50 years experience in the insurance industry specializing in marine and fire departments and is the most senior marine cargo and hull underwriter with a proven track record and wide knowledge and experience in various classes of marine insurance, fire and miscellaneous insurance and settlement of claims.

 

Doreen’s duties include supervising, directing, guiding policy matters and overlooking operations at our head office branch in Male and various other branches in Sri Lanka. Her tasks include underwriting all cargo imports and exports, hull and fishing boats and settlement of claims, reinsurance placement, staff and agent’s training.

 

She also underwrites fire insurance business premises and handles settlement of fire claims.
